LIAG seminar: Reservoir Characterization based on statistical inversion method
LIAG welcomes all interested parties to its biweekly LIAG seminar, featuring exciting presentations on research and technology, held on Tuesdays at 11:00 a.m. at the Geozentrum Hannover or online via Webex. The presentations, with a duration of roughly 30 minutes, are followed by a discussion and are held in either German or English, depending on the announcement. The entire programme is published by LIAG.
On Tuesday, 3 February, Timon Stamatopoulos will give a presentation in English on the topic:
Reservoir Characterization based on statistical inversion method
Abstract: This study investigates the geothermal reservoir properties of the Lower Cretaceous formations Valanginium and Wealden using a combination of seismic interpretation and statistical analysis of well log data. The analysis was conducted with Obendetect software, allowing for detailed mapping of subsurface structures and reservoir characteristics. By correlating seismic attributes with petrophysical trends, the research highlights zones with enhanced geothermal potential.
