GOOD Meeting

8. - 11.03. Meeting für lagerstättenkundlich orientierte Nachwuchswissenschaftler

Continuing the successful 1st GOOD meeting in March 2016 in Freiberg, we would like to invite all young researchers in the field of ore deposit geology to the following event in Hannover. The meeting will take place from March 8-11, 2017 at the Institut für Mineralogie at the Leibniz Universität Hannover. The application fee is 40 €. 

The conference aims to connect young professionals from all disciplines in ore deposit geology. All participants will have the opportunity to present and discuss their research with an audience on a level playing field. The conference program will be completed with keynote talks from scientific and industrial backgrounds, an icebreaker event and regional field trips.

Invited speakers are:     

Dr. Ulrich Schwarz-Schampera (BGR Hannover, Germany) - The continuum between land and sea: ore deposit potential in the worldwide oceans 

Dr. Sieger van der Laan (Tatasteel IJmuiden, Netherlands) - From Experimental Petrology to Iron- & Steelmaking - and back 

Dr. Torsten Zeller (CUTEC Clausthal-Zellerfeld, Germany) - Landfill Mining of Tailings: The R&D-Project „REWITA"
